As an ordained New York Wedding Officiant, I specialize exclusively in modern, non-religious ceremonies. My role is to guide you through a calm, meaningful, and legally sound ceremony that reflects who you are as a couple — without religious language or doctrine.

💌 How It Works

  1. Book your date. Once your date is confirmed, I’ll give you a quick call to introduce myself, go over your ceremony details, and answer any questions.

  2. Choose your ceremony style. After our call, I’ll email you a short list of ceremony style options that fit you so you can choose the one that best completes your day.

  3. Get your marriage license. You’ll obtain your license from any New York town or city clerk’s office — it’s valid for 60 days before the ceremony.

  4. Ceremony day. Bring your marriage license with you. I’ll arrive early, guide you through the ceremony, sign the license with your witnesses, and return it to the same clerk’s office that issued it.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ for Notary work

  • No — I am not an attorney and therefore cannot provide legal advice or help prepare or interpret documents. My role is to verify identity, witness signatures, and notarize documents in compliance with New York State law.

If you need assistance choosing or completing legal documents, please contact a licensed attorney or the document’s issuing agency before scheduling your notarization.

  • Have a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID and a stable internet connection.

Documents requiring a jurat must be signed during the session in the notary’s presence. Documents containing an acknowledgment may be signed beforehand if permitted by law, but must still be acknowledged and notarized during the appointment.

Once booked, you’ll receive a secure video link to join your session.

FAQ for Wedding Officiate

  • Yes. I am legally authorized to officiate weddings in New York State as an ordained minister and registered wedding officiant. I am able to officiate weddings throughout New York State except within New York City. NYC requires officiants to be registered with the City Clerk to performing a ceremony. At this time, I do not perform ceremonies within the five boroughs of NYC.

  • I offer non-religious and secular ceremonies only.

My ceremonies are modern, personal, and focused on your relationship — without religious readings, prayers, or faith-based language. If you’re looking for a meaningful ceremony that feels authentic and comfortable, I’m happy to help.

  • Yes. I work with couples to customize their ceremony and can offer guidance or templates for writing vows, readings, and ceremony structure.

  • After the ceremony, I complete and return the marriage license to the same clerk’s office that issued it, within the required five business days.

  • I primarily serve the Hudson Valley, including Orange, Ulster, Sullivan, Rockland, and parts of Sussex County. Extended travel outside these areas may be available for an additional fee.

  • I always arrive early and build a short grace period into my schedule. If there’s a significant delay beyond the reserved time, an additional fee may apply, but I always do my best to keep things smooth and stress-free.

  • Yes — I love intimate and spontaneous weddings! As long as you have your valid New York marriage license, I can officiate with short notice when my schedule allows.

  • Rehearsals are optional and available as an add-on. They’re especially helpful for larger weddings or for couples who want to practice timing and cues ahead of the ceremony.

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due before the ceremony. An invoice and confirmation will be provided once details are finalized.
